UPDATE ON MY PAST YEAR...
It was a difficult day when my former employer, AGCO, announced the layoff of all contractors—myself included. I had the privilege of working with this outstanding company for nearly seven years and truly valued the experience. The strong synergy I developed with the business analysts I supported was unlike anything I had experienced before, and it is what I miss most.
Following my departure, I chose to take some time to focus on upgrading a property I owned in Costa Rica. After several months of work there in Costa Rica, I successfully sold the property and redirected my attention back to the United States.
Since then, I have explored a brief period of early retirement. Living in Northeast Georgia—one of the most desirable areas in the country, surrounded by beautiful scenery, abundant wildlife, and a wonderful community—made it easy to appreciate a slower pace of life. I have genuinely enjoyed spending time outdoors, relaxing, and catching up on reading. However, over time, I found myself missing the sense of purpose and engagement that comes with meaningful work.
That realization brings me to where I am today: actively seeking a new opportunity, ideally with a company as progressive and supportive as AGCO was during my tenure.
